When Mifepristone was first introduced into the United States, the FDA required warnings, safety regulations, and protocols. It had to be prescribed by and dispensed in person by a physician and required a follow-up visit. But for the past 20 years, liberal administrations have quietly stripped away protections and safeguards.

The result? The largest Mifeprestone study ever conducted shows 11% of women taking the drug experienced serious adverse health events like internal infections, sepsis, hemorrhaging, or complications requiring emergency room visits, a risk rate 22X higher than what the manufacturer claims.

While the use of Mifeprestone for abortions has already been outlawed in many state laws, that hasn’t slowed its use. In fact, the drug can still be ordered online without a doctor’s prescription and delivered to mailboxes, in violation of state law. And many of the websites where you can go to order the drug are hosted overseas, and many of the drugs are manufactured and mailed in from overseas.
